I bought these shoes about 1/2 way through in the winter of 2011/2012 so they really don't have a horrible amount of games on them bowling 2 nights a week. After about a month the velcro for the heels were shot and the heels would fall off half way through my approach. tonight was the last straw (while bowling for league championship) the sole of my slide foot split completely in half right behind the slide pad.very poorly made shoe and will not buy dexter shoes again EVER because of the cost to value. Horrible, horrible shoes. for the record, I have never written a review on any bowling product before now.

just the normal usage as i bowl into 3 league per week with average 4 games per league but most of the time i still preferred to use my old LINDS dont like it at all be happy to get [$] back.

I cannot leave comments as to how these shoes work on the lanes as the ones I ordered were too big. I'm sure with the multiple combinations of slides and breaks that I would have been able to get them to my liking. The short time I had them on my feet they felt extremely stiff compared the the SST5's I've been using. I have been using Dexter bowling shoes for 10 years and have always wore a 9 1/2. Ordered these in 9 1/2 and they were a 1/2 size to a full size too big. Sure wish Dexter was consitant with their sizing. So when ordering beware, they run big.

My husband was estatic about his new shoes. They fit instantly and were comfortable. He swears he can get down lower in his approach because of the shoes. He loves being able to swap out his slider for tacky or slippery conditions.

These shoes are some of the best shoes i have worn. These shoes took me only 6 games to break in. They are very comfortable and are very easy to get used to, they have a lot of combination's to slide with and push off with.Bottom line is i love the shoes.

This shoe provides stability at the line that is unmatched by any other shoe. The interchangeable soles and heels are great for bowlers that bowl in multiple houses. If you looking for a slipper, this is not the shoe for you. Stick with 3G's. If you're looking for a shoe that can help your game, this is the one.

So i finally had to brake down and by some new shoes had some sst 5s for since i can remember i swore by those shoes but now any more i always thought that technology doesnt make good bowlers but im eating my words with these i love these shoe way better than my sst 5s i averaged about 210-215 and came out shooting first 3 games of 227 not to bad considering i was switching sole and heals alot until i found the right setup then 287 and 279 for a 793 amazing stablitly in the approach dexter did it again congrats

Stiff and uncomfortable. Good for the 3 game a week bowler, if you bowl more than 10-15 games a week, dont buy these, they will hurt you with stiffness.

Prior to obtaining the SST 8 I have worn the SST 6 which I have enjoyed in league play and in competiton. I also so had a pair of SST 6's prior even prior to those mentioned previously and I have to say the SS8 is by far the best Bowling shoe I have ever worn. I have been bowling since 1962. A Great shoe for comfort, stbility and style and appears to be well made.

the velco on the right shoe will not hold.
ty has only had them on three times.they wre a birthday present . so he would hve them for
jounior gold in indiana .im very upset that they
dont want to take care of us.

To start, i had and loved my pair of SST 6 dexter shoes. absolutely loved them, great fit, stylish, and interchangeable sole/heel is travel tournament savior. When i got the SST 8's i was skeptical cause the left/right hand thing, but it doesnt impair the flexibilty of sole changing at all. great shoe for a great price. i'll never stray away from dexter again. buy with confidence!

This is just wonderful. One side of the lanes are very slippery. S2 works well. Other side of lanes are normal or not as slippery, S6 works well. Comforting to know that slipping and sliding days are over. Black and White shoe looks very stylish.

I've wanted a pair of these Dexter's ever since I saw a friend of mine, who is also a lefty, wearing them. Dexter has not always made a shoe for Lefty's. I like this one because it is versatile. It doesn't matter if you are right or left handed, these shoes just fit. They are stylish, plus have a sleek design. They are comfortable and lightweight.
