The shoes are a bit stiff, but if they are only being used for occasional bowling, it's not big deal. My kids didn't complain about them and were glad to have their own shoes. For the price, these were definitely worth it.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was terrible. I had to cancel half of my order because one pair was on backorder. I received an e-mail saying most back orders were filled within 2 weeks. I waited well over a month, called several times and each time was told they should be receiving a new shipment within the next week. Finally I gave up on the pair that was on backorder and asked for my money back.

Word to the wise: only order from here if your size is in or you are willing to wait a LONG time!

Bowling.Com Response: I apologize that we were not able to fill the backorder on your order in a timely manner. The "Kids Bowl Free" summer program has wiped us out of a lot of sizes and the manufacturer has had a difficult time keeping up with the demand. The information we give you regarding backorders is the information that we are provided by our vendor. Please know that the long backorder period you experienced is not the norm for the products that we sell. Again we apologize that we were not able to fully fill your order.

We use this just for the summer bowling events to keep kids busy. These shoes are ok, they do the job. Have saved me alot of $$$ from having to rent shoes. But they are small.

As a commented earlier I returned my size 11 and got size 13 for my daughter. These fit her fine. So she is normally a size 9-10 and I had to order her 13s.

Purchased this pair for my daughter for summer use. She is a size 9 so i purchased size 11 just so she has room to grow into them over summer. Size 11 was still too small for her, so i ended up renting a pair at the bowling alley...size 9 fit just right. [...]

I bought these for my daughter. She wears a size 12, and I bought a size 13 thinking she would grow into them. I was surprised when they came in the mail, and we couldn't even get them on her feet. Very disappointed.

We decided to purchase shoes for our three children in anticipation of many games of recreational bowling this summer. The sole on these shoes is not particularly flexible, but the upper leather shoe is like suedey butter. I checked 'stylish' because my daughter INSISTED that she wanted a bowling shoe that 'looks like a bowling shoe' - none of those plain white sneaker looking ones :) Very nice starter shoe.

Service & Delivery comments:

I won't mention any other retailers by name. But I do want to say that my children chose shoes from two different online retailers. With bowling.com, we got a shipping notice very quickly after placing the order, and the shoes arrived in great condition maybe a couple of days later. My daughter is ecstatic! My son's shoes were ordered elsewhere on the same day, and we haven't even received a shipping confirmation or notice yet, AND we paid $15.95 shipping for them - more than half the cost of the shoes! He's pestering me every day as to where his are. We were debating getting shoes for our littlest, but we have decided to go ahead and get him some, too - and definitely from bowling.com. Very happy with our order!
