I was casully rolling 110 or so and after I got it dialed in to control the hook it was on. Bowled 200 today. It was tracking to the pocket like there was a guide on the lane. Looking forward to higher scroes. when it hits the pins it really rolls through to the end. GREAT BALL!!!

I am a League Bowler [Lefty, Finesse]. I bought this ball from my local pro shop, had it drilled and began using it the same day. I carried a 191 Average with a different ball last year; I fully intend to improve on that by at LEAST 2 pins if not more this year with THIS BALL. In practice so far, I have found that I can control it just as easily as my other ball! [607 series last week on a house shot]... LOOK OUT LEAGUE, HERE I COME!!

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
This ball is a great ball for high rev players that are looking for a ball that will go longer, and this ball does just that it has a slower reaction to the friction on the lane but its very clean through the front, would recomend for any avid house player. I play with a really high rev rate, this ball still has the distance on it, with factory finish out of the box i rolled, 707, 685, 656, and 666, this ball i would highly recomend for any player. def must in your bag today

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
Bought this ball at my local pro shop, as a replacement for an older ball that I didnt like much anymore. Got it drilled just like my current ball, took it out on the lanes and REALLY liked the way it performed!
I averaged 191 last year [which aint bad considering I hadn't bowled in a league in 6 years], I am stoked about this coming year, looking for 195!

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
After dropping to 14lb and then becoming healthy enough to go back up to 15lb, I needed to replace my 900 Global Maniac. In a choice between the Hy-Road and the Victory Road, I chose the Victory Road because it reminded me of the Thunder Road but with a 2011 coverstock. And I haven't been disappointed.
Last week I shot 705 with a 299 game, as well as a 735 in which I had the front 9 in game 2. You can miss inside and there's enough cover to recover, and you can miss outside and recover as well. The carry is great, especially if you keep the line tight.
I will give the common "not for really heavy oil or dry lanes" disclaimer here, but for my money this is the ultimate THS ball. Great price, awesome performance and recovery.
Put this in your bag, and unless the lanes are way over/under, you won't need another one.
2010-2011 League average: 233 (T-15th in Texas)
High game: 300 (1999), 299 (2011), 294 (1998), 290 (2011)
High series: 827 (1999), 803 (2008)

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
I won my pick of anything in the proshop in a match play tournament and chose this ball. I already have an invasion and a VG Nano. This ball was set up to be a step down from the Nano (as far as hook goes). It eats up a typical house shot and is very forgiving. I can miss 5 boards to the outside and it will hook back to the pocket. If I pull it 5 boards to the inside it "reads the oil" and still makes the turn to the pocket. I am amazed at how much hook this ball has in medium oil. I've ended up leaving my Nano in the bag 90% of the time and using the Victory Road instead. Also, don't be scared away by the maple syrup scent...it's not as strong as some of the other scents that Storm uses.

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
I got this ball on the 11th of march did not get a chance to get it drilled until the 23rd of march. When I had it drilled I got layout 4 I wanted it to go long and break hard. first game after drilled 199, I then proceeded to use it in league that night I was chasing a shot the first 5 frames I ended with a 195 the first game in league then second game I threw a 198 and third i threw a 206 for a 599. I'm very pleased with how this ball rolls and how it hits I should have easliy shot 650. I made mistakes so I didnt. If you are looking for a ball to upgrade or just a new ball I would recomend this ball. I also recomend a person you like to drill any balls you may have and if your around lower burrel in PA I would suggest [...] for drilling only working out of wildlife does an amazing job im taking my prodigy to him soon to get it drilled. Buying offline and getting drilled somewhere is always cheaper.

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
Storm Victory Road review by staffer Billy Trudell Storms newest thunder line release is the Victory Road. The intent of the victory road was to offer bowlers and versatile bowling ball that has a strong move down lane. With the continued success of the Hyroad ball which had the FE-2 weight block which offered an RG of 2.57 and a differential of 0.046, they decided to use that weight block as the base for what weight block they were going to put in the victory road. After inverting the FE-2, they created the FE-3 core which lowered the RG of the ball to 2.56 allowing the ball to rev up slightly earlier than the Hyroad but have a much higher differential of 0.052 which helps create a strong continuous down lane motion off the spot. The weight block was wrapped in the highly successful R2S pearl coverstock found on popular balls such as the Fast, 2Fast, and T road pearl. The surface was then finished with a 1500 grit polished preparation. With all of these components bowlers are supposed to expect a high performance ball that is clean through the front without too much skid because the ball will read and rev up strong in the mid lane and give a strong back end reaction without sacrificing any control of the pocket or burning up due to energy conservation through the front part of the lane. A traditional pearl bowling ball tends to have the skid flip reaction that on fresher patterns can be hard to control. The victory road is a very controllable reacting pearl bowling ball. My victory road came with a 3.5 inch pin to CG. My intent for this ball was to go with a reliable bowling ball that can get down the lane and around the corner when I have to play a very deep inside line. I usually find that I have to move extremely deep and play over the gutter in some cases on longer oil patterns or flatter oil patterns when they break down. Patterns such as Deadmans curve, and the pba shark get a lot of play in the middle part of the lane. Usually on the fresh I can use pretty strong bowling balls and carry fairly well. Now as the pattern breaks down I tend to have trouble creating angle in the back and carrying ten pins due to my low axis tilt. The victory road was answer to my problems. This year the US open was a 42 foot flat oil pattern. I had my problems on the fresh but the burn was a whole other animal. Deep inside angles were best with a ball the got around the corner. My victory road gave me my best block by playing over the gutter cap out to about 13 at the break point and the ball got back around the corner strong and usually carried great with very little corner pins when it hit the pocket. The lay out that I used was a 4inch pin with the cg swung until I had about ¾ ounce of side weight. My intent was to have the ball flare up strong in the mid lane and then have a strong motion off the break point. I then threw a ¾ inch hole 2 inches below my PAP on my VAL. The pins location is right next to my ring finger as well. I was able to throw it on lanes that were already broken down because they were left over from the previous night and had not been oiled yet. The lane surface is AMF hpl. First few shots I threw the ball read pretty early and hooked a lot down lane and I missed the pocket left. So after moving in to 30 with my feet tarting 18 at the arrows out to 8 at the break point I saw the reaction I was hoping for. The ball found the head oil it wanted reved up strong just past the arrows got to the break point and had a hard arcing turn in the back that crushed the rack every time. I left a few solid nines due to playing such an open angle. I decided to move a few boards in more with both feet and target to kind of tighten up the angle and found that I still had the pocket with exceptional carry and entry angle. No matter how deep I went even over the gutter the ball still created great angle and carried well. A little while later the mechanic came by and oiled the lane with the fresh 41 foot house shot. Here with the out of box finish the ball reacted really great still how ever I figured right now would be a good time to try hand scuffing the ball with a used 2000 pad. The results I got were that the ball was able to pick up a little sooner than it was before and it seemed to bite a little harder at the break point as well with no signs of roll out. Seems to me that this ball is going to be very friendly to surface adjustments which is always a plus for me.My Specs Hand-rightRev rate-300Speed- 16mphPAP- 5 ¼ inch right by ½ inch up.

Right hander with above average rev rate, Shot 797 with 300 in game 2. 2 1/2" pin placement with drill layout #4. This ball reads the lane well and turns up hard. What a great ball to add to the bag. Jokingly, I wouldn't recommend this ball to anyone I am bowling against...Its that good.

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
Once again Storm has hit a homerun with the new Victory Road!! If you loved the Hy-Road you will definitely love this ball!!! The Victory Road goes down the lane a litter farther than the Hy-Road and has a more prnounced move in the backend. It is more skip/flip but is very controllable. If you don't have one of these in your bag yet do yourself a favor and pick one up!! You won't be disappointed!!

Comments about Storm Victory Road:
I BOUGHT THIS BALL ABOUT A WEEK AGO. IM A LEFTY AND A CRANKER. I CONSIDER THIS BALL TO BE THE LITTLE BROTHER TO THE HY-ROAD, ANOTHER GREAT BALL. IT GOES A LITTLE BIT LONGER BUT BREAKS STONGER. MY PIN PLACEMENT IS JUST ABOVE MY RING FINGER AND CG IN MY PALM. A VERY SMOOTH ENTRY TO THE POCKET. HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET ON TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS. BUT WILL SOON.
