Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I am 16 years old and bowled my first ever 300 game with this ball in a match against my rival high school. Later that same month I bowled my second USBC sanctioned 300 in a tournament. I love hammer bowling balls to death but with the success I have had with this ball made me change my mind. Storm is my new favorite. It is insanely consistent with a nice smooth early ark. Having the ball drilled to turn over sooner leaves me with hardly any splits. I recommend this ball strokers and crankers alike and also recommend using it on medium to oily lane conditions. With such a reasonable price how can you go wrong? (by the way I paid [$] for mine when it first came out)THIS IS THE BEST BALL I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

Bought a storm prodigy used with 3 games on it for [$] from a bowler at my local alley who didnt like it all i have to say is its one of the best balls ive thrown its easily 10 boards stronger than my hammer the sauce and black widow nasty. It holds well if you pull it inside and covers nicely when you miss the outside the only bad thing is by the 3rd game it was too much ball for the lanes i'm about 300 rpm bowler and i started off all the way at the ball rack ball is crazy!

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I use this ball in two different alleys.

One is synthetic wood and very oily and other is real wood and medium.

Able to throw a consistent hook both facilities. Average went up 20 pins after receiving ball as b-day gift.

Great for strike ball. Great hook potential. No problem getting drilled at local pro shop.

Finger-tipped grip, conventional thumb.

Love the ball.

Only thing I have trouble with is picking up 7 pin with ball (left-handed), other than that, best bowling gift I have ever got.

Also love the blueberry scent, makes my bowling bag smell fresh and not like an old pair of bowling shoes.

Purchase the ball, and you will not regret it.

Service & Delivery comments:

Service was great.

Received ball within 1 business day (don't know if I am close to warehouse (PA))

Customer service was also great!!

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I laid out my first Prodigy, pretty standard VAL and Drill angles for a very high rev player for myself. It worked well for about 25 games, as mentioned above. I then got another one to see if my layout was at fault or if this ball just is not for high rev players... Tried to extend the ball down the lane, and it came up completely lame. If I did get to the hole it was a weak 10 or 8-10. I'm a storm only guy and I will not recommend this ball to anyone.

I have loved this ball since the first time rolling it. When there is oil this ball will hit the pocket almost every time when hitting my mark. It will even hit the pocket if I push the ball wide. I have increased my average in both of my leagues with this ball, even shooting my career best series (773). I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Great ball for oily lanes. I can really throw the thing out past the 5 board and it comes right back in. Crazy pin action; all it's gotta do is touch the head pin for a strike. I bowled a 252, 202, and 211 right out of the box.

Going from a ball made in the 80's to Prodigy, was a big challenge. I basically had to change my delivery. Once I let the ball do the work, I started seeing an improvement. I'm not a fast roller, but I didn't need to be with this ball. Pocket hits had a lot of force.

This ball is awesome! It needs some oil for it to work properly. I am a lefty that averages 205 and throw a tweener style ball. This ball hits hard and carries through the pocket. If the lanes are burnt this is not your ball. Make sure you carry a ball for those lane conditions. I would buy this ball again! And recommend it to anybody that is a serious bowler. :)

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I am a league bowler where the house puts down a medium oil pattern often refered to as a reverse block or reverse top hat. This ball destroys this type of house. I am a high speed, high rev, right handed bowler with an average hovering in the 190's. I believe this ball could help anyone with good revolutions and medium to high speed. It is very forgiving if you lose it to the outside. Very controlable even as the lanes break down and the oil pushes to the back end. For the very first 6 games on the same lanes I scored well into the middle 200's while most other bowlers in the house were struggling.

This is definitely a ball designed for mid to high oil, very comfortable to throw and very predictable.

Love It !!!!
Thanks Storm !

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I drilled my Prodigy 3 and 3/4 with a weight hole. This drilling provides a arc shaped reaction and a smooth continous roll through the pins for bowlers with high rev rates. The prodigy with this drilling has given me a consistent reaction on med to heavy oil conditions on various house shots but do not try to use this ball on dry lanes as it will hook up to early. I have been averaging 220 or better with this ball in all houses.

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

Since my ball was getting old, I decided to buy a new one before league started up. I had been buying Columbia 300 bowling balls since the Yellow Dot came out, but decided instead to pick from a few choices my local pro recommended. I went with the Prodigy based on reviews suggesting it matched by bowling style and because it was attractive. After approximately 50 games these are my observations:

a) Today's bowling balls are incredibly powerful. This ball is no exception. It makes its turn and accelerates into the pins way harder than my previous balls.

b) This hooking power means that instead of having to throttle back my speed to generate sufficient hook, I now have to move in, throw it aggressively, and loft the ball so it doesn't hook too much. Which is way more fun. (But if you don't throw hard forget this ball.)

c) The increase in speed and the ball's hitting power produces explosive strikes. The way my house is oiled I would expect to leave 10 pins. This ball somehow manages to take out most 10s even when it looks like it shouldn't.

d) I am still figuring the ball out but have been able to post a 221 avg and recently got a 299/772 so am mostly pleased with the purchase, except...

e) This ball reeks big time! Storm has the crazy practice of scenting their balls. I have to keep it in one of those plastic bags new bowling balls are delivered in and exile my bowling bag to the furthest place in the house. I doubt I will buy another stinking Storm ball - unless my average goes up further.

Comments about Storm Storm Prodigy:

I drilled my Prodigy very strong, this pin is very low under my ring finger just above the center of my grip. The CG is kicked out and there is a low hole. I drilled this ball for the shorter Tour patterns like Cheetah and Viper, I find that todays bowling balls are so strong and responsive I have a hard time smoothing out my ball reaction on these patterns. So far this ball reacts exactly how I planned, it is very smooth and does not over-react off of friction. I bowled on cheetah twice so far and am very pleased with the control I had of the pocket. This ball is the earliest rolling Storm ball I have ever drilled, it is very strong and continuous. Bowlers with higher ball speed and lower rev rates will love this ball, higher rev rate players can use this ball quite a bit on higher volumes. Check out info on this ball at www.stormbowling.com

Just drilled the ball yesterday. Pin above fingers, no weight hole.
This ball is more aggresive than the VG or any ball I have rolled of Storms, but with good control and follow through when it hits the pins.
Very nice additon to my Storm arsenal! I would suggest T-Road to start, Virual Gravity and then third or fourth game bring out the big gun Prodigy for the carry down.
