This ball is not consistant . Not much pin power . Doesn't power through pins . Worst ball I have bowled with by Storm . Switched to the Invasion & HyRoad , & both are great balls , with the HyRoad being the best overall .
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
i have been bowling now tournament wise for a little over 5 years. in those years i have had 5 bowling ball (including spare ball) i now use the virtual gravity and a hyroad i have had this ball for alittle over a year now and it still is my favorite ball. it still makes a great clean shot and a nice hook. i would recomend it to real serious bowlers!

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Have had since available on bowling.com. It seems to get better and better. This is my 3rd league with this ball and I've had 3 700 series this league the last one was 12/12 748 total, my highest ever. Great ball seems to be very flexible with lane changes.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This is ball is great!!! I drill my ball for long late cute. I choose this ball from reviews and long study of different balls (took like three months). I have a brunswick ultra zone(my first real bowling ball), but it was kind of tuff to use cuz if you dont add enough finger in the follow through it doesnt hook (have to really work it)! But the Virtual Energy is very forgiving ball, its like create its own action as it reaches of the lane. Even if mess up my release it tends to hook it self little effort!
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I would consider myself a consistent league bowler currently avg 194. I have always used 16 lbs balls and bought 16bls storm virtual energy. The ball has a great feel and closes very well even as the lanes begin to break down. The one thing i would however note, (I have only bowled 6 games with it 218,195, 181,237,185,179) I left more 10 pins then i ever have. I would and should have seriously considered a 15lbs ball, as i understand through my reading that the closing angle of the ball coupled with its weight truly creates this leave. I am now working on adjusting speed to compensate in later games for this break down. From what i understand, a 15lbs ball would have been a better choice. I would consider myself a tweener with a ball speed measured at the pins of 16.5.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Best Ball Ive thrown In a while, I have A roto grip pearl I loved that ball, This was suggested to me by a friend and He also drilled it for me and first game 266, second 242, third 234. Great ball all around.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
When the lanes are spotted, fried, or shredded, this is the best ball for me to go too. I can use it on fresh patterns too. It has tremendous power and versatility, and it is very forgiving. The reason I rated it 4 stars is because this ball leaves me a record high number of corner pins. Leaving 10 pins (I'm a right hander) is part of the game and normal, but leaving just as many 7 pins as 10 pins is definitely NOT normal. However I managed to shoot my 2nd 288 game with this ball although it was disappointing because I've had nothing but consistent pocket shots and left the 7 pin twice. As bowlers say the 10 pin is the right hander's worst enemy, this ball tells me the 7 pin is my enemy.

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This ball was drilled to my preferences, I use a finger tipped grip and have an amazing hook. This ball hooks more than any other ball that I have ever used.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
The Virtual Energy is definately a very good product to purchase if you are thinking to upgrade ...what I like the most is the contact and reactoin it does when it gets to the head pin...

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I am left handed and throw from the 10th board in. This ball takes that space and eats it up. It comes in like a lightning bolt and strikes up the pin action. Its forgiving a board or two if you miss your mark it makes up for it with additional or less performance. If you are a league bowler looking to make the leap to better league bowler with potential to enter tournaments and win you will need this ball.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This ball has a great roll and shreds racks like crazy. Only problem i have had with it is that it just hooks and stops instead of going long with a huge backend. It wont recover that well if u miss your target more than 3 boards.A couple of my friends had the same problem with theirs and already traded them.Overall, i like the roll and carry power of the energy, but the reaction is inconsistent.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I have only been bowling for about six months.I just bought this ball and within one week I was bowling 600+ series its impresive
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
this is good ball. when thrown right can really carry pins all the way to strikes. i have this bowling ball at 14 lbs and it is good enough for me. i would love to have this as a 16lb bowling ball but i can only carry a 14lb ball do to me only being 13 yrs old. when i received this ball it has increased my average from 135 to 146 but it only went up by that much because it was towards the end of my league. for example insted of me bowling my average in the last 4 weeks since i only bowl on saturday i had about a 167 average. thank for another great bowling ball storm!!!
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This ball is awesome. I bowled my first 700 series. I can use this ball inside and swing it out from 5 to 10, or play outside and go up the 5 board. I have thrown Hammer and Columbia, but now I am strictly a Storm equipment user, but no affiliation at all.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I got this ball because I wanted a ball that would break later and it definitely does! The ball hits like a train and rarely leaves any 10 pins. Be careful on dry lanes because the ball can be very difficult to control.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
My old ball cracked and I bought the STORM Energy. The ball will get down the lane and really hooks to the pocket. You can't look at the pins and try to throw it in the pocket. If you hit the right spot for you, It will give you a big hook at the end and carry through to sweep the pins. You just have to trust the ball and let it do the job. Great Ball.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Storm has done it again!!! They keep putting out great equipment. I've heard a lot of negative feedback about this ball. All I have to say is this is a must have in any bowlers arsenal. I am a league and tournament bowler and this ball goes everywhere with me. This ball has a great back end movement.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
i have an average of 220 until i got this ball that is ive played 12 games and so far i dont like it, it has way to much curve fro me this ball brought my avg. down to 170 i will go bowling again friday and try this ball, not an ameatur ball, this ball will take time to get use to that is if you dont sale it before it does
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
it has a strong back end.destroys the pins.

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I am a pretty good bowler averaging around 216 and I am in the military so just recently got back into bowling and was using Storm Core Power for the past 7 years and still held my average of 216 but tonight I finally got my ball drilled and used it an hour afterwards in a 9-pin tourny just for fun. Basically with this ball there was no need for it to be a 9-pin tourny because I averaged 240 over 5 games of which only 5 weren't real. This ball has maximum forgiveness whether your throw it outside or in it will find and destroy the pocket. Best pin action I have seen as well. Once again Storm hasn't let me down.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
as a 160 bowler, i was looking to upgrade to a more aggressive backend ball. let me tell you this ball is everything it says it is. the first game i rolled with it was 8k's i finished with a 595, the following week i rolled a 690, and this week 647...this ball hits with tremendous power, pins explode as it hits pocket, also i can keep same line throughout the night with only slight adjustments. i can now compete with with the really good bowlers here on long island.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This ball EXPLODES through the pins. What else can a guy with a 176 average say after rolling a perfect game his 1st league night with a new ball. What can you say about perfection except THANK YOU STORM!

League Avg: 188-193
RH low rev bowler
Speed: 14.5 - 15.5
Pin to CG: 3.25 in
Top Wt: 2.88
PAP to CG: 5 1/4"
CG 1 1/2" up X 1" right of thumb
Pin 1/2" under and centered on ring finger
MB 2 1/2" down and 2" right of thumb
The first game out of box was a 277 and a 650 series. Second league night was 226, 213, 280 for 719.
For the second series was standing on 29 and throwing up 15 out to about 10 for a smooth arching hook. Hits like a ton of bricks.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Best ball in my bag, 1 week after getting it drilled have 766, 731, and 813. I bowl about 3+ times a week and average around 230. if your looking for something predictable this is your ball.
Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
seriously, if you cant shoot a 200 plus, 4 out of 5 games you probably need a coach.this ball is much stronger on the back end than most.i play the 15 board out to the 5 at 16 mph.and wow does this ball come back hard.you owe it to yourself to get one.

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
I am somewhat new to bowling second year in leauge 165 average best game 250 but I have had nothing but problems with this ball. Played three games and shell cracked almost in half. Although storm did replace the ball without problems. bowled maybe 20 games or so and now I have six big chunks out of the shell. it's not the bowling alley because my spare ball is flawless. This is the third time I had to repair my ball's surface.

I averaged over 200 before i got this ball, its the worst ball that i'v ever had. I enjoyed my Bone White XS more then this ball, i enjoyed my power groove more. terrible pin action, ten pin after ten pin even with adjustment to different angles.

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
All I can say is wow!!! This ball hooks and hit a ton. I am not a spot bowler, I just throw to an area. I am right handed and stand 5-10 boards left of center on the approach, throw is somewhere between the 5 and 10 board and this ball will find the pocket, it is very forgiving. I carried a 220 average last year and was down around 200 after 7 weeks, with the virtual Energy I shot a 749 and 793 the past two weeks.

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Beware of adding rubber grips. Thumb hurts from throwing. But it's like buying new shoes. It has to be broken in. I was told to develop a new throwing habit. This may be the problem. Nevertheless, this ball handles curves like a Porsche. The ball does all the work. Definitely a product I can get used to and play with for a long time.

Purchased ball late July 2009. Rolled a sanctioned 300 on Aug 5th. Excellent ball for house shot...my last three league series were 699, 736, and 735. All bowled in one week! Not too bad for a guy who will be 75 next May!

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
Larry Lichstein recommended I have this ball drilled out a certain way, and last Tuesday proved his tremendous knowledge of the art of drilling to accommodate the style. Bowling in a PBA experience shot with gutter-to-gutter heavy oil, this ball showed its strong back end, playing between 8 and 18. In over 40 years of bowling, this ball is even better than the Angle was in it's day. Thanks for the keys Larry! Tom K. Spartanburg, SC

Comments about Storm Storm Virtual Energy:
This ball reads the midlane exceptionally well to be a pearlized ball; mostly due that it has a hybrid cover. This is a must have; especially if you have the Virtual Gravity; which compliments this ball beautifully!!
