Our Hot Line Performance Series has always been and always will be the most hook for the money in the industry. We had great success with our Street Rod Series of bowling balls and the Turbine weight block. With today's changing oils and conditioners, we felt it was time to upgrade the tire that touches the lane The Fast and the Furious feature the R2S coverstock. This second generation of Reactor coverstock has amplified the hook potential of the original: so in translation, we have continued our tradition of value & performance. Now is the time to step on that pedal to the RIGHT!

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

Replaced an old Columbia ball after I had been away from the game for 15 years. Safe to say the technology has changed. I carried a 192 average before and rolled a 607 series the first time with this ball. It was like giving a kid with a learners permit a Corvette. Ball just destroys the pocket.

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

This has to be one of the best balls ever produced at under $100. I threw this ball at the Kegel training facility on the "Highway To Hell" pattern and was able to strike from almost anywhere I wanted. I started playing 4/5/6 and striking then moved pairs and began striking from 13/14/15. The coach asked me what I was throwing and when I told him it was a Furious he said "that ball rolls like a million buck". You can't go wrong with this ball.

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

This is the perfect ball for those that that are trying to delvolop a hook. this ball seems to find the pocket if you even come close to you target on normal house pattens. As the lanes become drier you will need to make a few board adjustments but once you've found that sweet that spot this ball will alway react. I came from a 149 average to averaging 180 to 195 per league night. If you don't have this bowl make the investment and see for yourself

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

The smell is nice to have, and the total reaction of the ball depends on the speed of your arm, and the curve is based on how much you put on it.

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

I started with an entry level plastic ball, then after moving my average up to 160, I purchased this ball for better pin action. Wow, what a difference! This ball really snaps after reaching the dry, and my pin action now has increased my average to 180. Love this ball.

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

I wanted a ball with a more explosive backend and now I have one. My approach is low to the ground and allow the ball to do the work. On wood, the Furious snaps hard, on synthetic it is a beast with more hook than I was used to. I had to learn to control it on synthetic, but well worth the learning process.

Underrated Ball for the Price
By Nito from Los Angeles, CA on 8/25/2009
Pros:
Attractive Design, Flawless Surface, Surprising Performance
Best Uses:
Local Bowling Alley, PBA Experience league, Tournaments
Describe Yourself:
League Bowler
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Storm Furious Solid:

For this to be a mid level ball it has a lot of hook. Not the choice for the heavier oil patterns, but it will work great for most house conditions where the bowler has slower ball speeds or higher rev players that need more control. Very versitile cover that can be polished or sanded while maintaining great performance. I would also use this ball on the Viper and Cheetah when the Fast has too much bounce off the dry or goes too long.
