The progression continues with the introduction of the Mutant Cell Pearl. This next generation Crown line release adds another dimension to the already popular Cell line. The Nucleus II core with its higher RG value and increased intermediate differential creates a much more defined breakpoint than the original, but still features the predictability that has made the Cell line so popular. Enhancing that motion even further is the Cytoplasmic XL pearl reactive coverstock. The combination of increased surface topography and enhanced friction values delivers stronger mid-lane traction with extreme entry angle to the pocket. This latest edition will be the most radical Cell of all?

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I'm in two league in the same house, On Wednesday the oil pattern is Light, and Great for my Mutant Cell finished with a 701 Series high game 266.

Sunday is my other League, which the pattern is heavy fresh oil, my Mutant Cell didn't Perform the same. I had to go back to my Pearl Cell, which gave me my 300 Game, in that house 702 Finish.

I still Like the Mutant Cell, but I have to hope for better results.

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I sometimes can use this ball for all three games, and I only throw it about 11 mph, and it still will hold the line. Eventually it gets a little too flippy and then I either have to play around the oil or just change balls. Best all around ball I have owned. I want another for later!

very strong bowling ball

Bottom Line:

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

Well this ball is usually my third game ball as the lanes dry out. On the wood lanes that i bowl on the pearl surface makes for a nice long length before smashing the pines. The fifth time i through this ball i through 300. it has very good pine carry as it really hits strong on the backend its almost like it never quits

Service & Delivery comments:

very good the ball got to my house in two days and i did not even pay for the speedy ship

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

So far this ball is 1000's of times better then the urathane house style ball I was using initially. For my first ball with a hooking core I belive I may have gone a bit over my head with this ball but it was very accepting of a newbe. Over all I've noticed that the balls response is amazing.. and gives a very smooth run down the lane. The break point seems inconsistant.. but that's easily due to my error or due to the lanes here. Over all the best [$] I spent for bowling! Highly recommended ball.. has taken my average from a lowly 125 to a higher 188. Breaking my highest game into 236 was also with this ball the third week I received it!

Amazing

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I drilled this ball pin down just to make it turn and roll a bit earlier then my cell pearl. This coverstock with the core, its simply amazing. I drilled it to use on my friday night league, (40 ft of oil) and threw a 262,279,250 out of the box. Ive never been so close to an 800 series. But this ball has a controlable back end and reads the lanes great. A must have for every bowler.

Mutant Cell Pearl

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

Mutant Cell Pearl – Specs 5x6 with a 2-1/2" buffer 80x5x35 (dual angle)
This ball is very aggressive and needs a lot of oil to get maximum performance. Out of the box, compared to the original Mutant Cell, it goes farther down the lane before the sharp back end reaction. This ball from all angles has great continuation through the pins and works well on all lane surface types. Throwing this bowling ball I have found that it works best on sport patterns because of its ability to create area.

Great Versatility
By Rob Raymond from Detroit, MI on 10/3/2010
Pros:
Power into pocket, Versatility
Best Uses:
Medium to dry, Wet dry
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I've never experienced a ball that had more power in the pocket without cutting through too hard and leaving a solid 9-pin. The ball works great on the outside part of the lane during the first game of league play and presents and incredible amount of flexibility to move inside once the pil pattern break down.

Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl Review
By MSUHoss300Verified Reviewer from Orlando, FL on 8/2/2010

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I drilled my Mutant Cell Pearl with a trick layout, the pin is up high above my fingers 4 1/2" from my axis. I drilled the CG out with my ring finger and the MB is just above my thumb. This ball reminds me of a stronger Cell Pearl, it is clean through the front of the lane and has an explosive back-end reaction. What I like about this ball is it slows down in the mid lane the right way which creates the controlled motion I like to see especially on the PBA Tour patterns. This ball has the potential to be the ball of the year, check out the details on [@]David O'Sullivan

Mutant Cell Pearl Review
By SenorRotoGripVerified Reviewer from Grafton,Ma on 6/29/2010
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl:

I drilled the Mutant Pearl with the pin above my fingers, 4 3/4" from my axis, cg out (enough to drill weight hole), MB 1 1/2" right of my thumb, 1 1/8" weight hole on my VAL 2" down from my axis (4 7/8 > up 13/16),
The Pearl gets down the lane about 2 feet longer than my Mutant on a fresh oil house condition. The reaction off the dry is a very smooth, arcing motion through the pins. The Pearl hits hard, like all the Cell balls, and continues through the pins without much deflection. Like most pearl shelled balls, the Mutant Pearl will skid long if it stays in the oil too far down lane.
For bowler's looking to complement the Mutant solid, the Mutant Pearl will fit right in. For bowler's looking for a ball with a little more length down lane with hitting power off the dry, the Mutant Pearl works well.
