Value and Performance have always been synonymous with the Roto Grip? brand, and the all new Dark Star? stands to continue that tradition. Our first goal was to develop a stronger Shield? Line ball to fit into the Roto Grip? line. The Team felt that there was too big of a gap between the Nomads and the Planet series balls. The intent was to create more mid-lane read with stronger backend motion, so we developed the Photon? core with a lower RG value and a higher differential. To enhance this core motion we also added Ultimate Vision? pearl coverstock to this ball. This performance proven coverstock was found on the EPIC? and Illusion? series of balls. It boasts a higher coefficient of friction and surface texture for added traction in the oil and superior backend performance. This combination of core and coverstock was the ideal fit into the line. Our tests showed that it filled the gap between the Nomads and the Planet series balls perfectly. The legacy of value and performance will live on in the new Dark Star?.

Comments about Roto Grip Dark Star:

I bought this ball because it was less expensive, what I discovered was it worked great on a oily house shot. I averaged 240 for 16 games in Vegas at a tournament using the house shot. This ball is better for a stoker than a cranker, it gives additional length and finish through the pocket for more carry then anything I have had before.

Comments about Roto Grip Dark Star:

I bought this ball to get me through the last half of the second game and the entire third game. The local lanes have a tendancy to break down quickly. I have been bowling for a very long time and have never had a ball that hits as hard, and mixes the pins the way this ball does.

Comments about Roto Grip Dark Star:

I had a tournament in Europe and did not want to take two bowling balls because of the extra fees for luggage. I wanted a do all ball and this did it. I had it drilled to go long, predictable hook and still hit strong. It delivered on all three counts. I shot a 254 game with it that propelled my doubles partner and I into first place. Fantastic considering I average 177. Our team also took second and I finaled for singles but did not place in the top three. I am glad I did the research and made the right choice. It was a lifetime experince to bowl international and to actually win.

Comments about Roto Grip Dark Star:

I use this ball in three leagues a week and one of them is a travel league and it is a sweet ball.I should have gotten 1 lbs heavier but it is fine. It will do what you want it to if you throw it right.I have not found a flaw in it so I have to say way to go.

If you wont a ball to hook this is it. this ball will easley hook from oneside of the lane to the other. But its great because you can control the ball very well. Great for any bowler. I have over hundered fiffty games on the ball and hook hasent gone down yet.

Comments about Roto Grip Dark Star:

I had this ball drilled at my local house which is the hardest shot in the area. Was very impressed with it hitting power. the layout is 3 1/2 x 2 3/8 m/b 4 1/2 2" pin buffer double weight hole. very forgiving and hits so hard.
