The new MOTIV? Thrash? is a medium oil ball that attacks with control, but has a violent impact. On fresh patterns, the sanded Z-Max? Solid Reactive shell eliminates the wet/dry reaction issue by producing a smooth and predictable motion toward the pocket. At the moment of impact, it thrashes across the deck and shreds the pins. The MOTIV? Thrash? is perfect for average league bowlers that prefer to throw ?down and in?, and for advanced bowlers that want to play a straighter line on fresh patterns to strike with control. The Thrash is the first solid ball to feature the proven Quadfire core. It is designed with an RG to store energy and a differential to control track flare. The 15# ball has a 2.55 RG and .043 differential. Note: All ball weights use the same core design. MOTIV does NOT use generic cores in lightweight balls.

Comments about Motiv Thrash:

We have all been there, watching someone figure out that straigher lines are the way to play at the time. Up until now, most balls just hook too much, too early or too fast off the spot. This ball is very clean through the front part of the lane. Which I found amazing for a ball at 1000 grit no polish, how easily it went through the heads, fresh or torn up. This ball is not a Hook out of the Box ball. You can play a lot of different lines with it and get pin thrashing results. If you are having a tough time finding your break point change to this ball and just let it go. You can play very straight lines with it and get the results you are looking for. What I like the most about this ball is it gives me miss right without being "sparky" of the break point. This ball does not hate oil and does not hate friction, has great versatility for all bowlers.

15 lb. RG 2.55, 15 lb Diff. .043

The new Thrash gave me a heavy arcing motion. The new Z max cover
at 1000 wet/sand created earlier friction in the front part of the lane.
The Thrash begins to read the midlane quicker and gave me more
of an early roll up front, which helped smooth down the back end reaction
and helped control the overreaction on wet-dry patterns.
The smoother breakpoint reaction is great for controlling the extreme of
the wet-dry house shots.
The Thrash's reaction never got jumpy at the back end of the patter. It can
of the spot smooth, because most of the energy was used up front.
The Thrash is a great benchmark ball for most bowlers on a house shot.
Most bowlers should be able to play in the track area without seeing the
ball drastically over-hook when it encounters friction at the back of the pattern.
This is a great control ball. And is best used for a straighter lane to the pocket.

The new MOTIV Thrash is........ Well its awesome!! Great ball to start with on most lane conditions, very versatile bowling ball and can be drilled both weak or strong and still pack that punch through the pins. First time I threw this ball after I drilled it, I wasn't even loose, and this ball kicked out the ten so hard I was amazed, after about 5 shots my friends looked at me shaking their head on how good it looked. Not to brag or be biased, but every ball MOTIV creates is better than the next, the sky is the limit!! Go get yours!

This ball fills that gap in the arsenal, and can also be a great addition to any. Hope all of you will get a chance to drill this ball, its flat out amazing, thank MOTIV for this creation.

Comments about Motiv Thrash:

Layout for this ball is 55X5.5X55 and this ball is one of the smoothest ball i have ever seen out of a pattern. This ball uses the proven quadfire core from the QZ line with a new solid cover. Because of the new cover, this ball is smoother than the recent releases, and provides a much more controled move off the friction. This ball is A must have if you are trying to find a peice that will blend wet/dry conditions or if you want to square everything up and get on top of the ball!! if you would like to check this out i have done a video of this ball at : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWRAlgcNHSk&feature=g-upl&context=G27dbc1eAUAAAAAAAAAA .This ball fits into the MOTIV line very well, as its a look we have not seen yet. For me its a really good one 2 punch on the house stuff with the sigma tour (i burn it up with the thrash and then 3rd game bank off that spot with the tour). You are really missing out if this isnt added to your bag! Dustin Baker, MOTIV Regional staff

For me this ball is alot more than I originally expected. Released as a medium oil ball it can be quite strong depending on the layout. Its truely an excellent piece espicially at its medium price point. Most impressive is its STRONG continuaton through the pins and smooth , strong, controllable arcing motion off the friction. It fits well into any bowling arsenal as your medium to medium strong piece. For me it fits nicely between the long skid\flip strong Primal Impulse and my very predictable house shot killer Sigma Tour. I can play in and along the oil line with the Thrash and swing to the dry and unleash its power into the pins. Meshing the proven QZ2 core with it's solid coverstock make the Thrash a perfect compliment to those of you who love the Backdraft. I at this price point you just don't get this type of pop and reaction!!!!!So come and get Motiv-ated with us---keep an open mind ---You wont be dissapointed! I found my thrash drilled with a
"rico" layout to be more skid than I liked and after taking it down to 500 from 1000 it had just enough teeth to grab the lane with control and blast the pins back. This ball truly does what it was set up to do and that's to get down the lane without losing any power or energy and still have hitting power. This is a ball that is made for all bowlers Man, Woman and child....My son loves his Thrash as much as I love mine.

The MOTIV Thrash is perfect for average league bowlers that prefer to throw "down and in", and for advanced bowlers that want to play a straighter line on fresh patterns to strike with control.I recently drilled up my Motiv Thrash and I must say that I am very excited about this release. This ball gives you a lot of bang at mid priced cost. The Thrash is one of the most predictable and forgiving balls I have ever thrown. Even with a pretty aggressive OOB surface at 1000 wet sand, it still clears the heads fairly well. Then makes a strong, smooth, and predictable move in the mid-lane, and makes a strong continuous motion in the back end. As with all Motiv balls, I love the way this ball goes through the pins, creating maximum pin carry on the right lane condition. I threw my Thrash on a 41 ft. typical house condition and I all I could do is strike!!! (See Video Below). Thrash the Competition!
The Thrash is a throwback to some of Motiv's earlier releases. We have brought back our most popular quadfire core and wrapped it in a solid reactive cover. This gives you a predictable yet controllable reaction that you can depend on shot after shot. This is a medium hooking ball with a very strong cover. This allows for the ball to roll early and provides a very smooth reaction down lane. This ball is similar to both the TR2 and the GT1. This ball provides a smooth look on house patterns and rolls very controllable on sports shots as well. I like the cover on this ball because it allows me to play a little straighter on the fresh allowing me to create a good entry angle into the pocket. Overall I would say 3-5 boards stronger than other balls using the quadfire core, and not quite as angular on the backend as the QZ2 Quadfire. One thing I have heard about this ball from observers is how much the like how the white logos really pop off of this ball while watching it explode through the pins.

Comments about Motiv Thrash:

Wow,what can I say about the all new Thrash by Motiv Bowling?! Very smooth, predictable bowling ball that I can use on the fresh and close down my angles and keep the ball in front of me. For me this is my benchmark bowling ball and an absolute must in my bag. I would HIGHLY recommend this ball for anyone looking for a ball to be that go to ball to get a predictable and consitent reaction on a number of patterns. As for league patterns this ball is great for evening out the over/under and allowing me to get a great reaction from a number of areas on the lane. But for me,What I love most about this ball is the fact that when you gloss it up the ball doesn't become overly angular or too sensative to friction. With the polish it will give you a clean look through the fronts and great length but still give you that predictable and consistent reaction down lane.Go GET YOURS TODAY! Comments about Motiv Thrash:

The newest release from MOTIV, the THRASH is one of the most beautiful bowling balls on the market. This ball is released on January 13th, 2012 to your local pro shop. With the last few releases in the MOTIV line (Raptor P7, Sigma Tour, and Primal Impulse) being more stronger and angular on the backend, the THRASH is going to provide the bowler with a much more smooth reaction. The THRASH, at 1000 grit abralon is ideal for the fresh tournament patterns, and when there is oil on the lane. The proven Quadfire core (which is also featured in the QZ2 Blue/Black and the QZ2 Backdraft) has a 2.55 RG and a .043 differential. The main difference, is the Z-Max Solid reactive coverstock. Don't be fooled by the surface out of the box, the THRASH takes a shine very well, and rolls well with shine!I drilled up two THRASH's before the release date.. One drilled Rico (pin in the palm, 45deg), and one drilled 70 x 4 x 50 (no hole). Both balls roll incredible. The Rico THRASH for me rolls great in league, and the first game of tournaments (with surface). THRASH #2 (70 x 4 x 50) is a winner. Out of the box, it is great when there is oil, however after taking the surface up to 3000 I can throw it on pretty much anything!Any release from MOTIV with the Quadfire core is a winner, the THRASH takes that proven core and puts a stronger coverstock on it to give the bowlers a huge bang for their buck. Allowing surface changes so easy it can fit into many bowlers bags, giving them an advantage. Out of the box, the THRASH is earlier than both the QZ2 Blue/Black and QZ2 Backdraft, and smoother on the backend than the Backdraft. Taking the surface up and adding polish, the THRASH is cleaner through the front part of the lane, and is still smooth and predictable on the backend. Comments about Motiv Thrash:

The Thrash is a great even rolling, medium hook ball from MOTIV. I really like the Thrash when I need to play the lanes a little straighter on fresh oil. On a house shot it helps even out the "over/under" reaction from side to side. On fresh sport patterns this ball works great when the back ends are really clean, and I need a controlled ball path.

Here is a link to my Thrash ball Reaction video on a medium/light volume house shot:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsvN2DaT-XI

I drilled this one 50* x 5" x 70* which resulted in the pin just below my ring finger. I used the box finish. This ball has about the same over-all hook as my Sigma Tour, but the Thrash has a more arcing path to the pocket.

The greatest asset for this ball is that it is not jumpy – very smooth off the friction, and it keeps the pins real low. I feel like I carry more high pocket hits with the Thrash – the kind of hits that leave 4 pins with other equipment.

The Thrash is now the first ball out of my bag on most patterns. It gives me a solid, dependable start to my league or tournament session.

Thrash
By Mags from Detroit, MI on 12/29/2011

Comments about Motiv Thrash:

ThrashWith a great new solid coverstock and an already successful core this ball can fit into anyone's lineup. This ball will also be very nice to have on tougher patterns or if you are looking to blend the wet/dry patterns because of its smoothness and predictability. In my video session with the Thrash I bowled on a 2nd shift house pattern with a synthetic surface. The ball comes 1000 Abralon out of the box, but with the layout and intentions I had for the ball I polished it immediately. This ball is a very nice compliment to either of the QZ2's. The Thrash comes in handy when your QZ2's aren't quite strong enough and the mid or high performance pieces just seem to be too strong. As you will see in my video, when the ball is polished it still has plenty of continuation and backend. View my video here: http://www.youtube.com/user/MOTIVmags Don't be fooled just because the Thrash is near the entry level price point, with the out of the box surface you will have more hook than you paid for. When I had a chance to use the Thrash at the out of the box surface it was very similar to the hook potential of my Raptor. The difference was the predictability, the Thrash had a much smoother shape, yet still a very strong motion through the pins. If you already have either of the QZ2's you need this ball to give yourself a great 1-2 combination. If you are also looking for a lot of hook without spending a lot of money…then go get a Thrash on January 13th, 2012! Happy New Year!MOTIV Staff MemberMike Magolan
