I drilled up two Sigma Tours and I must say this the perfect benchmark ball. The SigT rolls the through the heads super clean and provides easy length without sacrificing midlane control and then provides incredible continious backend motion. Now, to compare my two Sigma Tour's. My OOB 2000 wet sand SigT picks up in the midlane sooner and provides a more smooth continuous backend motion. My 4000 abralon with polish SigT provides much more length and a more angular backend motion. This ball is very versatile and can easily become the first ball out your bag! Comments about Motiv Sigma Tour:

Sigma TourThis was another one my initial MOTIV pieces drilled as a MOTIV Staffer. This ball presents a reaction that I haven't seen from any manufacturer before! I wouldn't characterize the ball as a skid/flip ball, but it does have the backend of one. Skid/flip balls get down the lane very easy and tend to have uncontrollable hook on the backend. For bowlers with more ball speed or that may like to play straighter skid/flip balls don't come out of the bag too often. The Sigma Tour gets down the lane but picks up stronger in the midlane than a skid/flip ball, yet still maintains a very sharp backend motion. On medium to heavy oil conditions the Sigma Tour will really open up the lane by being able to play in deeper and still being able to really turn the corner! My first session with the Sigma Tour was on Kegel's Easy Street with a synthetic surface. On this pattern this would be my first and only ball needed for an entire set. I just slowly moved in as the set progressed and it created a great entry angle. Playing that deep I will typically see a few corner pins, this was not the case with the Sigma Tour. You can see my video here:http://www.youtube.com/user/MOTIVmags?feature=mhee#p/a/u/0/AmQAKoOUyeoThis will be a benchmark ball for just about anyone. It is strong enough to throw on the fresh, but is clean enough and can corner with deep angles on a lighter or broken down condition. The out of box surface is in between, allowing you to add surface to make it stronger overall or add polish to make it longer and stronger. If you are looking for a ball to transition to after the Sigma Tour, look for my review on the QZ2 Back Draft! If you haven't drilled a MOTIV piece, make this your first. You won't be disappointed!MOTIV Staff MemberMike Magolan

Comments about Motiv Sigma Tour:

I love the Sigma Core in the SR2's and I was really excited to see Motiv using it with a brand new cover stock technology. I drilled my first one really strong to see how much reaction I had, well too much, I hit it with a light polish and changed the reaction completely. I drilled my second ball pretty weak, pin above my bridge with the CG kicked out about 1 inch, with a P2 weight hole. Now the strong drilled ball doesn't make it's move until the back end of the patern which is what I was looking for. This ball is so clean through the heads, out of the box I was amazed, it does not "spark" off the pattern and gives me a clean move to the pocket. So I compared them in a practice session on fresh oil, and the stronger drill gave 3 boards more hook and miss inside and the weaker drill gave me miss on the outside. Now I know we all can't drill 2 balls, so I suggest your ball driller match up rev rate and ball speed to give you the look you want. Slower ball speed weaker lay out, higher ball speed stonger lay out. We have drilled quite a few for customers of all different styles, and the response has been consistent, everybody has been very happy with there purchase. We drilled a 12lb ball for a woman that has been bowling for years and she said, "Best ball I have ever had", so she bought the Raptor for a compliment ball, great 1-2 combo. MOTIV Sigma Tour Review The MOTIV Sigma Tour Review Ball-15lbs. 3oz. top weight-3.3," pin-3.0', Drilling-70x45@41/2",With a P2 hole,1" deep, with 1" bit, Inner core name-Sigma,Type-Symmetric Coverstock name-Atomix Reactive,New cover from MOTIV Box finish-2000 wet sand 15 lb ball-RG2.47.Diff. .047 My information-Right handed,Ball speed-15 mph average, Rev rate-280 average,Axis rotation-45 degrees.Axis tilt-15 degrees Type of lanes tested on-9 yr.old Anvilane,3 yr. old Pro Anvilane [@] The Sigma Tour was designed for medium oil. Most bowlers will use it as their benchmark/first ball out of their bag ball. This Sigma Tours medium low rg core and new Atomix cover lets it lope through the front part of the lane, which helps it store the energy for the breakpoint. The smoothness through the heads is insane. The smoothness through the heads will let you keep the ball straighter through the front part of the lane to start. The Sigma Tour has a very strong midlane roll. This reaction is so defined and strong for a ball that gets through the front part of the lane so easy. The key to the Sigma Tour is the energy stored for the downlane movement. The Sigma has a medium response to the friction at the breakpoint. The breakpoint shape is very a very heavy arc. That has a long and strong continuous movement.Yet controllable and predictable. When the lanes transition from fresh to open, the Sigma performs just as well. When you need to move deeper the ball corners with ease. Carrydown doesn't give the Sigma any problems. The Sigma shines out a variety of patterns and conditions. The Sigma is a must for everyone. MOTIV has taken a giant step with their last two releases;the QZ2 Backdraft and the Raptor P7.With the release of the Sigma Tour, they have filled the gap between those two.If you are looking for a three ball arsenal, you have it here.Throw in the RX1 Silver for dry lanes and spares and you have a complete arsenals for most conditions.
