Freeze. An oldie, but a goodie. This ball contains a modified version of the Messenger core - arguably the most successful core in Columbia 300 history - wrapped in the NE2 shell which was featured on last year?s Momentum. A 2-piece core paired with a high performance cover; you asked for it, we served it? FROZEN.

Comments about Columbia Freeze Black/Silver:

When you find the shot this ball will do what you paid for it to do. It tracks very nicely after going down the lane. The only problem I've experienced is I cannot get the surface back to what it was when first purchased so I've had to go to a more "down & in" shot rather than "out & in". The difference is more 10 pin leaves...

Had this for only 2 weeks and just bowled my first 200 game. It can be difficult to control the hook at times but it was definitely worth the price.

Comments about Columbia Freeze Black/Silver:

The freeze works well in medium oil. Problem is that the ball's hook is very unpredictable especially when you first throw it on fresh oil. The ball needs constant wipe down since the cover stock gets very slick. But in all, a good beginner's ball. I recommend this for also price and reliability.

good ball
By jermx from greenacres, FL on 4/18/2010
Pros:
Comfortable Grip
Cons:
Curves to opposite side
Describe Yourself:
League Bowler
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Columbia Freeze Black/Silver:

I'm a regular league bowler so I bought this ball and i'll throw it exactly like all of my other balls but it curves to the right unlike most balls that go left after I throw to the right but i've adapted to throw more to the left so it can hit the pins, plus i've placed in multiple tourniments with it... So I like it.

This ball tracks just fine if you throw the ball correctly. Hits the pocket hard and drives through! I had my first 600 series with this ball.

32 degrees.......barely
By darrellVerified Reviewer from cleveland, ohio on 1/31/2010
Pros:
Comfortable Grip, Great Weight
Cons:
Ugly Graphics
Best Uses:
Local Bowling Alley
Describe Yourself:
League Bowler
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Columbia Freeze Black/Silver:

Ball doesn't track correctly. It actually tracks the exact opposite off all of my other balls flaring away from the thumb hole and over the middle finger hole. However it still hits hard with a good pin mix. It says that it is good on light oil but found it performs better in a medium oil enviroment. I wouldn't recommend this ball to anyone that needs forgiveness from time to time.
