This is a great Ball. Doesnt hook as much as some of todays balls. Thank God! Plays board 10 great very consistent, hits hard, and very controllable. Great all around ball for anyone. Anyone who says it doesnt hook simply doesnt know how to throw a ball. It hooks less than a lot of big buck balls but that s the idea!
I will definitely buy another avalanche! It s about time someone thought of the bowler who wants to play down and in. Very happy to have found this ball.

I find this ball to be uncontrolable, like it has a mind of it's own. It always rolls over the thumb hole (you can hear it all the way down the lane) and goes where it wants to.
I just bought a new Columbia Freeze.

throw over the second arrow on the right at rhe right speed it will hook into the pocket every time

I thought upgrading to this ball would be a good idea but i was wrong. I get no hook out of it, my average has went down about 50 pins and i just cant have fun with it like i could with my old ball.

The avalanche seems to hook better on a light oiled lane. Does not do very well on dry boards.I like the color and is a great beginner ball. Istill use my plastic ball now and then straight roll. I have not got used to the reactive ball as of yet. However if I do iam sure bowling will be enjoyed by me more.

Took some getting used to after 15 year out of bowling; now that I've used it a few weeks, like the way it rolls and reaction time.
