This product is outstanding for its intended use – "a few dabs on the sole of the shoe helps you slide safely after stepping in moisture" – but when applied excessively, with or without the presence of any moisture, the use of this product on a bowler's shoe(s) during USBC Certified League or Tournament play is in clear violation of USBC Rule 12 - "Approaches Must Not Be Defaced" which states "The application of any foreign substance on any part of the approach that detracts from the possibility of other players having normal conditions is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to talcum powder, pumice and resin on shoes ..." Sure, it works great for the person using it - but when it accumulates on the approaches from repeated applications or blatant overuse, it can become an extreme slipping hazard to other bowlers on the same pair of lanes. This is especially true for those who have invested in products that have enabled them to adjust their shoes to the approaches that do not include the use a "foreign substance." Examples would be the use of quality shoes that have removable, adjustable slide soles, wearing one of those "bowler's sock" devices that fits over the front part of one's sliding foot, or even the simple use of a wire shoe brush. To help avoid "stepping in moisture", a protective, moisture-resistant cover should be worn (at least over the sliding foot) when traveling to other parts of the bowling center such as the restroom, lounge area or eatery. Easy Slide is great for use on the bowling hand to prevent sticking (especially in the thumb hole), but its application as a "shoe sole conditioner" with regard to chronic abuse is highly questionable.

I am a FREAK about sliding; scared to death of sticking. I have used this product for years and years and have always had success. I have also started using it as a grip release, as when I bowl, my fingers tend to swell. I have not had a problem releasing, since using Easy Slide. IMHO good for whatever need you may have, if it requires movements.
