Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

I haven't had a chance to use the thumb saver a whole lot , but what time I have used it has been great. The thumb saver has enablled me to stop usiing grip cream on my thumb and to keep applying it as time wears on. The thumb saver has kept my thumb a very consistant size no matter how long I bowl. My average has actually increased a couple of pins so far. You all can bet that when this first thumb saver wears out that I* will purchase another one.

Great product when used correctly
By Chris S.Verified Reviewer from Rockford, IL on 4/25/2011

Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

I bought this product only to fix the problem of my thumb swelling and sticking. I got tired of using tape in the ball and powder on my thumb every other frame. I bowled with it all season and absolutely love it. I did have to get my thumb hole opened up a bit to make my thumb fit because quite obviously when you put the thumb saver on your thumb, it is now bigger than before you put it on. The stitching on the side is quite uncomfortable as the sides of my bowling thumb are already wider than normal from bowling. What I did was rotate the grip of the thumb saver 90 degrees towards my fingers so the pad is facing my index finger. My thumb fits very snug so no more squeezing the ball and it comes out of the ball every time with ease, great product I'm ordering one for next season and a backup so I never have to worry about being without it.

Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

I got this product because my thumb hole was slightly to large. i thought "Hey i dont want to pay the money to get a new insert, ill just get this instead." Right when i opened this it felt cheap with the thin as paper nylon. the velcrow strip seamed flimsy but i gave it a go.My thumb would fit in my ball comfortably. first ball out the thumb grip began to peal up, second ball, the velcrow undid itself. by this time it started to irritate my thumb and made it swell, making my thumb fir nicely in the hole. DON'T BUY THIS, just invest in some good grippy tape.

Worst product ever! I can't even put my thumb in anymore. I will have to drill a new whole just to use this. Bowling.com's 15 day return policy is BS! I do not bowl that often and 15 days is way too short.

I'm really excited about this product! I had a major problem with my thumb swelling up half way in the middle game. Always had to use chap stick and other things to keep my thumb from sticking. I will probably order another one just in case.

Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

Just wow. I recently got back into bowling and with a new ball. I got a blister on the knuckle of my thumb, which then turned into a callous/scab. It would not heal because it would re-open every time I bowled. It was becoming quite large and painful. I tried super glue, liquid skin, tape. Nothing worked. So I went searching for something to remedy the problem long term. I found this awesome item.

The next time I went bowling, my sore didn't open nearly as much, letting it heal more before my next night of bowling. By the second bowling session, the sore didn't open at all. Now it's all healed. I continue to use this because I got used to it, and it feels better than bare thumb.

I find that it makes my thumb fit tighter without causing it to get stuck or stick. I actually find my release is smoother and more consistent. My game has improved from a 140 avg to a 165 avg over the past 2 months as well. I doubt it's all due to this item, but I feel it has contributed.

The only slight downside is that after 6 games, the strap around the wrist noticeably digs in. But I don't notice it much until I take it off. Overall an excellent product that I will continue using.

This truly was a thumb saver for me! :D

Its ok...
By Strikes McGee, D.GVerified Reviewer from Leisure Bowling Lanes, Oshawa On, Canada on 9/11/2009
Pros:
cheap, Fits Like a Glove, Small, Smooth
Cons:
Only one size, Stitching
Best Uses:
Every shot
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

When I first put it on it fit well but was too big. The Velcro almost didn't hold because It folded over it self. and then when I tried to put my thumb into my ball... It wouldn't fit. The way its sewn together the stitching goes down the side of the thumb and it restricts the thumb from entering let alone leaving.. If I smash my thumb into my ball, it seems to work alright...

Service & Delivery comments:

I got it from my local pro-shop, and returned it the same day.

Best Uses:

Comments about Brunswick Thumb Saver Right Hand:

I've been bowling for 20 years and have never come out of a ball so smooth on the release. It works great with or without thumb plugs in the ball, cause I have some with and without them. I highly recommend this to anyone that has trouble coming out of the ball due to a callus which I have on the back of my thumb. Since I've been using the thumb saver my callus has went down some. This product for me is the best I've used so far. It's almost like your thumb isn't in the ball. I plan on buying a couple more just to have extras if I need them.
